But Hell was worth finding you again.

because you're not mine.

Wanted.Wanted:

a boy with a broken smile and baby blue eyes
like the ocean
that will break your heart in pieces.

Wanted:

a boy who writes love poetry
who sings you a broken song
looking deep into your eyes
for a smile.

Wanted:
a boy who knows that I have boundaries,
but still likes to steal kisses
and hold me like there's no tomorrow.

Wanted:
a dream boy in a lonely world.

e x p o s e d. You've exposed my heart
by tearing it into pieces
which will never be complete.

You've exposed my soul
by leaving it dark
full of empty thoughts.

You've exposed me,
but I'm still gonna shine.

Lonely World. She's the type of girl who sings herself to sleep every night
to remind herself that she's not alone.
She's the type of girl who would listen to the same song for hours
as her heart skips a beat.

She's the type of girl who hides her smiles
as she doesn't believe they are beautiful.
She's the type of girl who hides her pill bottles
and drowns her pain
through poetry.

She's the type of girl
who believes in love,
but never gets loved in return.

blast it. When I was a little girl,
you always taught me to take away my pain
through blasting music.

When I was a little girl,
you always told me
it wasn't right to run away
from hell,
so I walked.

When I was a little girl,
I was listening to metal instead of baby music,
because I had an ear for a guitar.

I still blast music
to take away my pain,
because music helps the evil thoughts go away.

Bright Star. It's getting late
as I'm trying to reach for the moon
so I can get to you.

I'm counting shooting stars
that I have wished on,
but I'd give all of my wishes away just to have you back.

If I could,
I'd color your heart
with bright colors
because you've always been an angel.

Forever. "I'm going to break your heart." he tells me again.
"You already did." I laugh, "I'm not going to let you do it again."

But as he smiles,
you punch your fist into a window,
letting the glass fall down into your skin.
You're already numb to the pain.

You spent a long time last night gazing at your body in the mirror, wondering if you'll ever be able to see the cracks in my skin when my heart breaks again.

I never was the type of girl
who was a hopeless romantic.
I was too much of a dreamer
to ever believe that love fully existed.

I never was the type of girl who believed in ''Forever''
because forever in your book always

Paper-CutsI missed you yesterday.
So I started folding paper planes,
But I knew they'd never reach you.
Aerodynamics      paper         really     up.
             plus       doesn't        add

I switched to folding boats instead,
And they looked strong and sharp.
But they sank even
                   faster
                          than
                               my
                                  heart.
And, no one ever taught me how to sail.

Then, I tried my hand at paper cranes,
Because, I read somewhere,
"One thousand cranes are good for one true wish."
But I stopped after forty-three,
When I ran out of square paper and ban

achieve the desire of the inocent flesh.

And all I can do...
is delighting me with proof of my femininity;

Of all the ways
I tried not to think or do not to wish...

No matter what I choose to do my body loses
They come from a drunken mans mistakes
To protect the others my body now aches

My Perfect WomanSomeone asked about the perfect woman for me
I'm not sure how to describe how this woman would be
As most of the women I know fill me with contempt
But for you my friend I will make a sincere attempt

First of all she would need to be patient and caring
But at the same time be courageous and daring
Someone who is going to be trusting and secure
A woman who I will not have to constantly reassure

Someone who understands I'm not completely sane
A person who will stand with me in the pouring rain
A woman who doesn't wear loads of makeup and look plastic
A woman who can tolerate that sometimes, I am sarcastic

A lot of us are broken people who are trying to fix ourselves through poetry and saying that we'll be okay, when all we are is broken and destroyed. I think poets make good liars because they have a way with words & with truth that lets them believe the lies they tell. That also makes us dangerous liars.
If you know that maintaining a lie will cause you to believe it, you have to think twice about it, & then a few more times if you're smart. Or interested in happiness and sanity, I'm not sure they mean the same thing.
